If you purchase a ticket for a flight with Delta Airlines at least seven days prior to the departure date, you are eligible for a flexible cancellation policy that allows you to cancel or change your flight for no fee within 24 hours of booking. The airline’s normal cancellation policies are in apply after the 24-hour period. There will generally be a cancellation fee if you need to change a ticket that was purchased less than 7 days before the departure date. The price will vary depending on the ticket’s fare class, destination, and how close you are to the departure date when you cancel. The cost will usually increase as you get closer to the departure date.
