Sundara Kanda lit. ‘lovely part’ is the fifth book in the Hindu amazing Ramayana. The first Sundara Kanda is in Sanskrit, and was made in well known custom by Valmiki, who was the first to scripturally record the Ramayana. Sundara Kanda is the main part of the Ramayana where the key hero isn’t Rama, yet Hanuman. The work portrays the undertakings of Hanuman and his magnanimity, strength, and commitment to Rama are underscored in the text. Hanuman is accepted to have been affectionately called “Sundara” by his mom Anjana, and Sage Valmiki is expressed to have picked this name over others as the Sundara Kanda is about Hanuman’s excursion to Lanka.
